Portland End of Summer Fun!

When in Portland, I tend to do the things I like to do in San Francisco (or anywhere for that matter).  I like to eat good food, drink good coffee, ride bikes, go to record/book/vintage stores, and drink good beer. That’s pretty much what we did along with stopping to smell the roses in the city of roses.

I found this 1950s New Directions copy of Paris Spleen at Powell’s Books! A prose poem inside is this blog’s namesake.
Three friends went to Three Friends Coffee. Delicious bagels too!

Broder Cafe has all the Scandinavian goodness.
We went to Beermongers with a beermonger.
Ladd’s Rose Circle is a great place to stop and smell some roses.

About Soup and the Clouds

I treasure the small adventures in life. Such as, listening to records, making jam from farmer's market produce, seeing new sites, eating the best tomato I've ever had, reading a good book, watching a film, appreciating a good font, going for a long bike ride or walking down a street I've never walked on before. The list goes on.
