I’ve been day dreaming about canning projects and finally made one happen. Strawberries are in abundance at the farmer’s market so the choice was clear: strawberry jam. Canning For the New Generation by Liana Krissoff is my go to for innovative canning recipes organized by season. I always like to improvise with spices or herbs (I would add ginger to everything) so I threw in a vanilla bean, cardamom pods, cloves, and of course ginger to spice it up. I think it’s time to make jam thumb print cookies!
