Appletown

Boonville is the orchard of my eye. It’s a sweet little town surrounded by award-winning apple farms. I’ve been wanting to try my hand at hard cider for a while now, so we travelled down the road to Gowan’s Oak Tree  to pick up some unpasteurized sweet apple cider to ferment. Johnny Appleseed (who I happen to share a birthday with) would be proud. There are so many varieties of apples undiscovered by most. I’d like one day to taste them all. To learn more about the origin and culture of apples there’s this, if you haven’t already seen/read it. Maybe one day I’ll gift myself an apple press for our birthday.

About Soup and the Clouds

I treasure the small adventures in life. Such as, listening to records, making jam from farmer's market produce, seeing new sites, eating the best tomato I've ever had, reading a good book, watching a film, appreciating a good font, going for a long bike ride or walking down a street I've never walked on before. The list goes on.
