Boonville is the orchard of my eye. It’s a sweet little town surrounded by award-winning apple farms. I’ve been wanting to try my hand at hard cider for a while now, so we travelled down the road to Gowan’s Oak Tree to pick up some unpasteurized sweet apple cider to ferment. Johnny Appleseed (who I happen to share a birthday with) would be proud. There are so many varieties of apples undiscovered by most. I’d like one day to taste them all.
